DESMOND Face to Face Education for Newly Diagnosed (for patients who have been diagnosed in the last 12 months) Available Weekdays and Saturdays

 DESMOND Virtual Education on Microsoft Teams for Newly Diagnosed (for patients who have been diagnosed in the last 12 months) Available daytimes and evenings

MyDESMOND for all Patients with Type 2 Diabetes, Digital programme learn at your own pace at a time that suits you

We can also offer a group education session in Punjabi.

Overview
We are a friendly and enthusiastic team, made up of 3 Part time administrators and 5 diabetes educators.

Diabetes Education Team Lead Joannah Griffey, Rose Butler, Abigail Muirhead, Lorraine Mullins and Jen Menton.

We are all very passionate about the job we do and strive to provide the best service we can to our patients. Our long term vision is to ensure all patients newly diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes are able to access structured education adapted to their needs.

We are proud to say that through online and virtual options, our team continued to provide diabetes education throughout the whole pandemic
